Help improve AI literacy

Community-driven

LearnAI is a community-driven project. We welcome contributions from educators, developers, and AI enthusiasts. Whether you're interested in creating modules, optimizing the site, or sharing it with friends, there are many ways to contribute. LearnAI is managed under our LearnAI GitHub repository.

How You Can Contribute

Help us improve our learning materials and expand our curriculum.

  • Write New Modules: Have expertise in a specific area of AI? Consider creating new educational modules on topics like machine learning applications, AI ethics, or emerging technologies.
  • Improve Existing Content: Review our modules for accuracy, clarity, and comprehensiveness. Suggest updates, clarifications, or additional examples that would enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create Case Studies: Real-world examples help learners understand abstract concepts. Submit case studies showing how AI is being used in different industries.
  • Develop New Exercises: Design interactive exercises, quizzes, or projects that help learners practice and test their understanding of AI concepts.
  • Translate Existing Content: Help make AI literacy accessible globally by translating our materials into other languages.

Technical Contributions

For developers, we welcome your contributions to improve the platform.

  • Frontend Development: Help us improve the user interface, accessibility, and responsive design of the website.
  • Backend Development: Contribute to building backend features for user tracking, analytics, or interactive components.
  • Bug Reports: Found an issue? Report bugs on our GitHub repository with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.
  • Performance Optimization: Help us optimize the website for faster loading times and better performance across devices.
  • Accessibility Improvements: Ensure our platform is accessible to everyone by improving WCAG compliance and assistive technology support.

Help us spread AI literacy and build our community.

  • Share Your Learning: Use our materials in your classroom or organization and share feedback about what works well. Your feedback helps us streamline our education process.
  • Organize Workshops: Host local workshops or meetups using our materials to bring AI literacy to your community. Our starter modules are designed to include anyone and everyone.
  • Social Media Promotion: Follow and share our content on social media platforms to help us reach more learners. Spreading awareness is the first step to spreading knowledge.
  • Partnerships: If you represent an educational institution or organization, please reach out to us to discuss collaborations. Our contact information can be found on the "Contact Us" page linked above.
  • Mentoring: Mentor other learners or volunteers who are new to the project. This project was developed with the intent to share experience, meaning any method helps.

Contribution Guidelines

Any and all contributions are welcome. However, user-facing contributions require additional care to provide an equal opportunity learning experience and maintain our level of professionalism. For these reasons, we ask that contributors follow the guidelines below.

  • Quality Over Quantity: We value well-researched, thoughtfully written content over volume. Take time to ensure your contributions are accurate and well-presented.
  • Accessibility: All contributions must be accessible to everyone. Follow WCAG guidelines for web content and consider diverse learning needs.
  • Inclusivity: Write in an inclusive manner that respects all backgrounds and perspectives. Avoid jargon where possible, and explain technical terms.
  • Accuracy: Fact-check your work and provide sources for claims. We're committed to providing reliable, evidence-based education.
  • Consistency: Follow our style guide and formatting conventions to maintain a cohesive user experience across the platform.
  • Openness to Feedback: Be receptive to feedback from our community. Revisions and iterations are part of the collaborative process.
